What properties do solid rubber wheels have?
Wheels made of solid rubber are vibration damping and kind to floors, and are used in industrial situations.
Wheels made of solid rubber are used in many different industries, including on transport equipment in conveying systems and on waste containers. They can be supplied with different Shore hardness grades and can be used almost anywhere. In addition, they are impact-resistant, gentle to floors and dampen vibrations. The wheels have good resistance to many aggressive media. Oils are the only exception here. The temperatures at which the wheels can be used without any problems range from -30°C to +80°C. For higher temperatures, special rubber compounds can be used.Â
Different types of solid rubber wheelsÂ
Further variants can be produced in addition to the basic model of solid rubber wheel. These include wheels with two components, which offer a higher load capacity and lower starting, rolling and swivel resistance. Wheels with elastic solid rubber tyres are another option. These offer significantly better drive comfort and an even higher load capacity than two-component wheels. They can also be used at higher temperatures, for short periods. The solid rubber wheels are usually black, but there are also non-marking versions. Electrically conductive solid rubber wheels are also possible.Â
